Truancy is not necessarily the child's fault. Often the entire family unit is in need of support. HFI conducts family needs assessments and Individualized Intervention Plans when needed.

Two-thirds of truant students will not graduate with their peers and will be charged with a criminal offense within two years (of persistent truancy).
